Saints Track & Field placed 3
rd for the men and 4
th for the women at the Frontier Conference Outdoor Championships in Dickinson, N.D.

The men scored 142.5 points trailing only Montana Tech (154) and Dickinson State (152). The women scored 135 points behind Dickinson State, Dakota State, and Bismarck State.

Carson Krack earned both Most Valuable Athlete and Field Athlete of the Year in the post-meet awards. On Day 2, he added a Conference Championship in the 400m Hurdles, a 2
nd Place finish in the 110m Hurdles, and a 3
rd Place finish in the High Jump to his already impressive meet resume.

It was a strong day across all event areas for the Saints. Conditions remained windy throughout which impacted most competitions.

In the sprints and hurdles, the Women's 4x100m Relay and Women's 4x400m Relay each earned All-Conference honors in 2
nd. The Men's 4x400m placed 4
th. Â
Claire Bucklin won the 400m Hurdles and placed 3
rd in the 100m Hurdles.
Rylee Herbstritt earned All-Conference in the 400m Hurdles as well, and Gabby Domenici (100m Hurdles),
Jackson Swanz (100m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles),
Katelyn Christensen (200m), and
Brynn Wandle (100m) also scored.

For field events, the Saints sent three women to the final in the Discus, ending 6
th (
Abigail McBeain) and 8
th (
Kayla Botkin). McBeain also placed 8
th in the Shot Put.
Hunter Gum placed 5
th in the Discus, but fell just outside scoring in the Shot.
Braedyn Johnson (4
th) and
Anna Hume (6
th) provided a double scoring punch in the Triple Jump, while
Tucker Monaco placed 8
th in the High Jump.

It was a full day of distance races with four All-Conference Selections (
Oliver Morris – 3000m Steeplechase Champion,
Brycen Gardner – Steeplechase,
Luke Decker – 1500m, and
Madalen Shipman – 800m).
Ellie Baxter (1500m),
Amelia Mayes (Steeplechase),
Logan Anderson (Steeplechase),
Wyatt Ehredt (800m), and
Isabelle Ruff (800m) also scored for the Saints. It was solid team racing for Carroll in the 5000m races with three scorers in each. The women went 5-7-8 (
Olivia Gaugel,
Ariel Brewer,
Ryah O'Dell) and the men went 6-7-8 (
Conrad Schruth,
Zack Gacnik,
Oren Arthun).

"This team result moved us up for both women and men from Indoor, so it was fun to see the whole team improve," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "We competed hard in every event and the athletes really cheered for and supported each other!" he added.

Most Saints will head to time off following the championship meet, while several will continue to prepare for the NAIA Outdoor Championships in late May. A small group of competitors will head to the Tom Gage Invite in Bozeman, Mont. this Friday for one more shot at qualifying.
