Heptathlon School Record Highlights Strong Overall Track & Field Meets for the Saints

02/07/26 | 6:25 PM

Helena, Mont. – Saints Track & Field had a week of strong performances at the Podium in Spokane, Wash. and the Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center (KSAC) in Bozeman, Mont.

Over the course of Thursday and Friday in Spokane, multiple athletes set records and moved up on Carroll's All-Time and on the NAIA's National lists. Carson Krack set three personal records and one season best across seven events en route to an overall lifetime best in the Heptathlon. The mark sets the school record for the Saints and keeps him in 2nd in the NAIA. Tucker Monaco set two lifetime and three season bests to move up to 7th in the NAIA. Katelyn Christensen set two personal records and one season best for an overall Pentathlon lifetime record, bumping her to 13th nationally.

With the current scores, it seems likely that both Krack and Monaco will compete in the Heptathlon at the NAIA Indoor National Championships in March. The top 16 athletes are invited. Christensen's mark puts her closer to the border, but she will hope to stay amongst the top Pentathlon group to be able to join the two men in Florida.

"It was such a fun competition for our multi-event athletes in Spokane," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "The venue puts on a great meet, and our group stepped up and improved in so many individual events to give them such strong overall scores."

For the women in Bozeman, Chloe Raats ran her fastest indoor time in the 400m - one of her quickest ever in an open event. Audrey vanWestrienen placed 2nd overall in the 3000m in her event debut. Anna Hume had a great day with a personal record in the 60m Hurdles and season's bests in both Long Jump and Triple Jump. Macee May had a strong competition in the jumps as well with a Triple Jump personal record and Long Jump season's best. In the throws, Abigail McBeain was again the top placer for the women in the Shot Put while Madison Lewis threw her best of the year.

On the men's side, Jackson Swanz made the finals in the 60m Hurdles with his top time of the season. Jack Jensen approached his lifetime best in the 800m with his fastest ever indoor time, moving onto the Saints All-Time lists in 9th. Jackson Barney pole vaulted his best of the season so far as did Hunter Gum throwing the Shot Put. Christian Wolfe set a personal record in the Weight Throw that moved him to 4th in Carroll's history.

Assistant Coach Jimmy Stanton shared that "across event areas we're working on things and getting a little better every week. We'll be excited to be back in Bozeman again next Saturday for our final regular season meet before conference!"
