02/21/26 | 9:42 PM

Helena, Mont. – Saints Track & Field finished the first day in 1st Place for the men and 5th Place for the women at Frontier Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Dakota State University at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Center in Brookings, S.D.

Carroll leads Dakota State by a narrow margin of 44 to 42 for the Men. The score includes All-Conference Performances (Top 3) from 4 athletes and 1 relay: Carson Krack (Heptathlon - 1st, 400m - 3rd), Tucker Monaco (Heptathlon - 3rd), Zack Gacnik (5000m), and the Men's 4x800m (3rd - Wyatt Ehredt, Oren Arthun, Peter Rehberger, Jack Jensen). The relay missed national qualifying by only slightly over a second.

Krack also scored for his 6th place finish in the Long Jump. Gacnik's score combined with Oliver Morris (5th) and Conrad Schruth (6th) for 13 total in the 5k. Morris and Schruth's outright times moved them into 7th and 8th on Carroll's Top 10 list for the event.

Carroll's women sit in 5th, just 6 points back of Bismarck State in 4th. Brynn Wandle won the Pole Vault, while Chloe Raats ran a personal record in the 400m to score in 5th. The women's 5k group placed three in the Top 8 (Ryah O'Dell - 4th, Audrey vanWestrienen - 5th, Jayna Boonstra - 8th) for 10 points total in the event.

Considering previously altitude converted times, O'Dell and Amelia Mayes ran personal records in the 5000m. Katelyn Christensen and Gabby Domenici were awarded points for the Pentathlon in 6th and 7th respectively, and the Women's 4x800 Relay (Isabelle Ruff, Ellie Baxter, Ariel Brewer, Faye Holland) scored in 5th.

The meet continues on Sunday starting at 10:00 am Mountain Time. Both Carson Krack and Claire Bucklin made the finals in the 60m Hurdles, so they will take to the track along with the remainder of the scheduled entries, including the debut of Carroll's throwing group for the meet.
