Helena, Mont. – Saints Track & Field competes Saturday and Sunday in the first ever Frontier Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Dakota State University at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Center in Brookings, S.D.

For Carroll, 42 athletes are entered across a variety of events. This includes current National Qualifiers Carson Krack, Tucker Monaco, Katelyn Christensen, Abigail McBeain, and Brynn Wandle.

Krack is ranked 2nd Nationally in the Heptathlon and will compete in four individual events and one relay at Conference. Monaco is ranked 9th in the Heptathlon and is tied for the 2nd highest clearance in the NAIA this year in the Pole Vault. He will compete in three individual events and one relay at the conference meet.

Christensen is holding onto the 16th spot in the National Pentathlon rankings and will need to maintain that through the weekend of conference meets to receive an invite to Gainesville, Fla. for the early March NAIA Nationals. She will compete in three individual events and one relay this weekend. McBeain remains in the Top 20 in the Shot Put and will aim to move up or throw the NAIA B Standard on Sunday to preserve her position at Nationals.

Wandle has surpassed the NAIA A Standard in the Pole Vault so has a certain spot at Nationals. She is tied for the 4th highest clearance in the Nation for NAIA and will be the favorite in the Frontier Conference competition on Saturday.

Dakota State University, Dickinson State University, Bellevue University, Bismarck State University, Valley City State University, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, University of Montana Western, and Montana State University Northern will all send athletes to the meet. The Top 8 individuals in each event will score with the Top 3 selected as All-Conference in that event.

With meet entries finalized, the Saints currently have athletes ranked in the Top 8 in 25 events and many more with goals of moving into scoring position. Krack (400m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump), Monaco (Pole Vault), Wandle (Pole Vault), and Jack Jensen (800m) are rated in the Top 3.
