Bozeman, Mont. – Saints Track & Field closed the regular season strong at the second Digger Winter Series Meet at the Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center Saturday.

Tucker Monaco highlighted the meet with a personal best in the Pole Vault that earned him the event win. The mark moved him to 3rd All-Time at Carroll as well as hit the NAIA A Standard and tied him for the second highest clearance this year in the NAIA. He also placed Top 3 in the High Jump.

A slew of other Saints also scored Top 3 in their events: Abigail McBeain (Shot Put), Hunter Gum (Shot Put), Brynn Wandle (Pole Vault), Gabby Domenici (High Jump), Karson Thomas (Triple Jump), Chloe Raats (400m), Carson Krack (400m), and Nina Badger (3000m).  Carroll's women went 1-2-3 in the Triple Jump with Braedyn Johnson, Anna Hume, and Macee May all jumping personal records.  Hume also jumped her best in the Long Jump

Krack's 400m race won the event, and the lifetime best time moved him into 4th on Carroll's Top 10 Lists. Thomas' personal record in the Triple Jump bumped him to 8th for the Saints, and he also jumped a lifetime best in the Long Jump.

Jake Jamieson pole vaulted his best ever. Several women had season bests: Shelby Tadlock (Shot Put), Hailey Herda (Shot Put), and Katelyn Christensen (Long Jump). Grace Horner (Shot Put), Rex Van Hees (Shot Put), Ida Bokemeyer (Long Jump, Triple Jump), and Sophie Sestrich (3000m) debuted for Saints Track & Field.

All four Carroll relays placed in the Top 3 as they prepare for different events and relays next week. It is projected that many of the top Distance Medley Relay competitors will be part of the 4x800m Relay at conference as the medley will not be contested. The 4x300m Relay will bump up to a 4x400m Relay, also with similar individuals involved.

"There were lots of great performances today and we want to carry that momentum into the conference meet next week," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "It's been fun to have so many athletes get to compete with three meets in a row in Bozeman, and we're looking forward to closing out the season strong over the next few weeks," he added.

Full results for the meet are available HERE.

The Saints will travel to Brookings, S.D. next week for the Frontier Conference Indoor Championships on February 21-22. Final conference rosters and entries will be determined early next week, but it is expected that between 40 and 45 Carroll athletes will travel. A maximum of 4 individuals per team can be entered in each event, and the Top 8 marks in each event will score at the meet. The current conference rankings are located HERE.
