Bozeman, Mont. – Saints Track & Field had a strong day at the first meet in the 2026 Digger Winter Series at the Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center on Friday.
Carroll competed against multiple teams from the Frontier Conference including Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, University of Montana Western, and the University of Providence.
Brynn Wandle vaulted to a meet highlight with an event win and personal record that cleared the NAIA A Standard for the Pole Vault. The mark makes her the school record holder at Carroll and places her in the Top 3 Nationally for NAIA athletes.
In other positives on the women's side, Abigail McBeain had a lifetime best in the Shot Put that moved her into the Top 20 in the NAIA. She placed 2nd in the meet. Multiple other women placed in the Top 3 in their events: Audrey vanWestrienen (5000m), Isabelle Ruff (600m), and Braedyn Johnson (Triple Jump). vanWestrienen's time was equivalent to her fastest ever over 5k, while Johnson also set a personal record in the Long Jump. Olivia Maunu had a lifetime best in the Shot Put in her first meet for the Saints.
For the men, several individuals placed in the Top 3: Jack Jensen (600m), Wyatt Ehredt (600m), and Karson Thomas (Triple Jump). Jensen won his event in his debut at the distance. There were also a few personal bests amongst the men: Oliver Morris (5000m), Conrad Schruth (5000m), and Jake Jamieson (High Jump).
"It was fun to get another national qualifier this week and to have an opportunity for so many of our athletes to compete," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "We're looking forward to continuing to build momentum over the rest of the indoor season with meets every weekend over the next month," he added.
