LAUREL, Mont. - The Carroll College Golf teams find themselves with work to do following opening round play at the Beartooth Invitational - hosted by Rocky Mountain College at the Laruel Golf Club.

Day one play at the Beartooth Invite has come to a close, and the Fighting Saints are hot on the heels of several teams, looking to make a move heading into final round play on Tuesday.

The Carroll Women sit in fifth place as a team at 347 (+59). 

Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont. / SR) and Alli Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / SO) lead the Saints after the first round, both shooting 86 (+14) to sit tied for 17th. Only two strokes separate them from the final two counting scores for Carroll, as Ellie Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / SO) shot 85 (+15) and Addison Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / FR) shot 86. Slivinski recorded the team's lone birdie on Monday, posting a deuce on the par three eighth hole.

On the Men's side of the action, Laurel native Kyle Kennah leads the way for the Saints, finishing his day a three-over with rounds of 75-72. TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / JR) is in 32nd, going 77-80 to finish at +13. Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / SO) shot 79-82 (+17), while Hudson Reinke (Filer, Idaho / SO) rounded out the scoring at +19 (84-79).

Tournament hosts Rocky Mountain College lead both sides of the action, with the Men at 276 (-24) and the Women at 309 (+21).

The Saints will look to finish their Fall slate strong on Tuesday, with final round action teeing-off at 9 a.m. at Laurel Golf Club.
