Carroll Golf Teams Add Talent, Picked Fifth in Frontier Polls

08/20/25 | 1:49 PM

HELENA, Mont. – With the 2025-26 season right around the corner, Head Coach Bennett MacIntyre has officially announced the signing of five prep standouts who will join the Carroll College Golf teams this Fall.

Following fourth and third place finishes at the 2024-25 Frontier Conference Championships respectively, the Carroll Men's and Women's Golf teams both bolstered their roster in advance of a new-look 2025-26 season in which both sides were selected to finish fifth in the annual Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Tracking down talent in the Treasure State was one of the primary goals for the 2025 recruiting class, and MacIntyre feels very good about the nearly all-Montanan group.

"This is a very Montana-heavy class." said MacIntyre "It's always great when you can keep exceptional local talent here in the area. We have a great group of returners, and bringing in these competitive frehsmen to challenge for tournament teams will only help elevate our program"

The '25 recruiting class sees a trio of Men join an already sizable team, while a pair of Women will look to make an immediate impact.

Carter Vandyken | Manhattan, Mont. | Manhattan Christian HS
A Montana Class A individual medalist highlights the 2025 class, as Carter Vandyken will battle for a spot in the starting five right away. The three-time Riverside Country Club junior champion carries an impressive resume and was a cornerstone of an Eagles team that twice finished runner-up alongside a Class A title. As a four-time All-State selection, Vandyken aims to continue his run of success at the collegiate level.

Sullivan Claridge | Kalispell, Mont. | Glacier HS
Not one, but two Claridge's will hit the links for the Fighting Saints this season, as Sullivan joins his sister Stella in the Purple and Gold. An impact piece in multiple Montana State AA Championships for the Wolfpack, Claridge will look to crack into a competitive Men's lineup this Fall.

William Pickard | Columbia Falls, Mont. | Columbia Falls HS
Pickard is yet another club champion to join the Carroll ranks this Fall, having won the Meadow Lake Club Championship last year. The success carried with him, as the Wildcat earned All-Conference honors in 2024.

Addison Slivinski | Montpelier, Idaho | Bear Lake HS
The second sibling of the 2025 class, Addison Slivinski will join her brother JT, a junior on the Men's team. A highly accomplished player in the junior and prep scene. Three-times she finished top three at the High School divisional tournaments, including medalist honors in her senior season. Additionally, Slivinski placed Top-10 at the State tournament three separate times in her impressive prep career.

Delaney Rixford | Lewistown, Mont. | Fergus County HS
Rixford joins the Saints with a pair of Montana Class A State tournament qualifications under her belt. She earned a Top-5 finish as the Lewistown Invitational last season and earned medalist honors at the Devin Moe Tournament as well.

The five new Saints join a pair of teams that slot in at No. 5 in the Preseason Coaches' Polls in a new-look expanded Frontier Conference.

The official Frontier Conference season will consist of two mandatory tournaments in the Fall, while the Conference Championship will once again wrap around into the spring season.

The Saints will compete in the two conference events, the Dickinson State Invitational at Heart River Golf Course, September 14-16, and the Beartooth Invitational hosted by Rocky Mountain College at the Laurel Golf Club, September 28-30.

Additionally, Carroll will head North to Great Falls for the Providence Invitational at Eagle Falls Golf Course for their season-opener, September 7-9, and will compete in a number of duals with dates yet to be determined throughout the year.

The Frontier Conference Golf Championships will be held in late April in Phoenix, Ariz., returning to Papago Golf Course for the second consecutive season.  The team winner in each gender will earn the conference's automatic bid for the NAIA Golf National Championships.
