Helena, Mont. – Saints Track & Field opens their indoor season at the Bobcat Preview in Bozeman, Mont. on Thursday December 4.

 

Six men and twelve women will travel to compete in the meet. This includes previous National Qualifiers Tucker Monaco (Multi-Events, Pole Vault), Carson Krack (Multi-Events), Brynn Wandle (Pole Vault), and Claire Bucklin (400m Hurdles). Freshman Maddison Akins will take part in her first track & field competition for the Saints.

 

Last year, the Saints Men placed 11th as a team at the Indoor National Championships and 5th at the Outdoor National Championships after winning the Frontier Conference Championship in May. Many athletes return from the group, so aspirations are high for the season.

 

"It's always exciting to get to compete after the work the athletes have put in this fall," said Head Coach Harry Clark. "This year is especially fun with the new facility in Bozeman and the new Indoor Frontier Conference Championship Meet in February," he added. 

 

Field events begin at 1:30 pm and running events at 3:00 pm at the new Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center at Montana State University. The facility now includes a 300m flat track.

Carroll's full Indoor Track & Field Schedule is not yet set, but it is expected that the Saints will compete regularly from mid-January to mid-February before sending a group to the Frontier Conference Indoor Championships which will take place February 21-22 and Brookings, S.D.
