Helena, Mont. – The No. 13 Men's Cross Country and RV Women's Cross Country Saints will race in multiple locations this weekend with a split squad.
A group of Saints will preview the Frontier Conference Championships course at the Yellowjackets/Battlin Bears Open on Friday Oct. 10 in Billings, Mont. For the women, 8 competitors will race for Carroll. It will be a step up in distance as the first and only 6k race of the season prior to the Conference Championships. On the men's side, 4 athletes will take to the 8k course.
Carroll's current Top 11 runners on each side will race at the LC State Invite in Lewiston, Idaho on Saturday Oct. 11. In the men's race, No. 14 College of Idaho, RV Lewis-Clark State, and steady Cascade Conference National Qualifier Eastern Oregon will compete. For women, College of Idaho ranks No. 14 with Eastern Oregon No. 16, and Lewis-Clark State No. 23. The women will be joined by Frontier Conference foe No. 22 Montana Tech.
"The beginning of this season has been a lot of training and growing," said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. "We're excited to move into the competitive portion of the fall where we get to race more often and chase the goals we've set out as a group," she added.
On Friday, the women's 6k race will start at noon Mountain Time at Amend Park in Billings with the men's 8k race at 12:45 pm.

On Saturday, the women's 5k will begin at 9:45 am Pacific Time at the LC State Cross Country Trail in Lewiston Orchards with the men's 8k at 10:45 am Pacific Time.
