Helena, Mont. – The No. 21 Women's Cross Country and No. 25 Men's Cross Country Saints travel to their biggest meet of the season for the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday October 26 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Saints Recap
The Fighting Saints raced three weeks ago at the Yellowjackets/Battlin Bears Openl. The Carroll women were 3rd overall and top of NAIA teams, while the men were narrowly edged out by Rocky Mountain College. Zack Gacnik placed highest for the men and garnered Frontier Conference Runner of the Week honors for the third time this season. Anna Terry was the top placer for the women.
Preview
The Saints will race 14 competitors in Michigan - 7 women and 7 men. The women's race will include 13 NAIA teams ranked in the Top 25 or Receiving Votes while the men's race will include 16. Frontier Conference foes Rocky Mountain College and Montana Tech will also attend the meet.
Weather is expected to be cool and fairly calm. Course conditions looked firm despite Friday morning rains, so the Saints will use the strong competition to aim for quick times on Saturday.
