Women's Track and Field | 02/09/23 | 11:52 AM
Helena, Mont. – A portion of the Carroll Track & Field Team will compete this weekend at the Podium - a new world class facility in Spokane, Wash.
The focus of the meet will be the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) and 4x800m Relay on Friday. For the DMR, Natalie Yocum will run the 1200m leg, Paige Baxstresser the 400m, London Lambrecht the 800m, and Reghan Worley the 1600m. Yocum and Worley will double back in the 4x800, and they will be joined by Kate Picanco and Kyle Olson. All of the women will run individual events on Saturday.
This will be the last opportunity for a 5000m race during the indoor season. Zach Rector and Connor O'Hara ran personal records in the event at the previous meet and will take to the track again this weekend with a chance to improve those times.
"We've been increasing our focus and intensity over the past few weeks," said Distance Coach Shannon Flynn. "We haven't raced at this track yet and are incredibly excited about the atmosphere and how we can use it to generate great performances and growth," she added.
The Saints will start competition at 6:00 pm Mountain Time on Friday February 10. Saturday morning's running events begin at 10:00 am Mountain Time.
