HELENA, Mont. – After multiple weeks without a competition, Carroll College Cross Country returns to the course in Billings, Mont. for the Yellowjackets/Battlin Bears Open on Friday October 6.
All Frontier Conference schools will attend the race, and multiple strong NCAA Division II competitors are scheduled to run including Black Hills State, Chadron State, MSU-Billings, South Dakota School of Mines, and the University of Mary. Carroll is currently ranked 17th nationally for the women and 19th nationally for the men. Rocky Mountain College is ranked 21st on the women's side and Montana Tech is 25th on the men's side. "With the extra week off we've really tried to be intentional about our recovery and to maintain a sense of urgency about improving," said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. "We're into the second half of the season, so we want to bring more intensity to our races while still staying focused on the process."
