"This was such a fun day," Head Coach
Shannon Flynn said. "Even though not everyone felt great, we really leaned on each other and were able to stick together for a good portion of the race. Between the hills and the warm temperature it was a difficult course out there, and I'm proud of the grit and teamwork our athletes showed to still perform well."
A slew of Saints supporters stormed the course on Tuesday afternoon, generating a great atmosphere. "We are so grateful to the rest of the track team; the other Carroll athletes and coaches; and the family, friends, and supporters who made it out to the race today. The team felt the energy, and it made a big difference for us today!"
The Saints will compete against most of the Frontier Conference next Friday in Butte at the Tony Banovich Invitational.
