HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's and Women's Golf teams continued their pursuit of the Frontier Conference Championship during the second round of the conference tournament at BanBury golf club in Eagle, Idaho.

After an unexpected start to day one of the conference tournament that saw play start a day earlier than expected due to weather concerns, day two was able to be completed uninterrupted, but not without snow flurries and tough overall conditions.

The Carroll Men maintained their fourth place position with a two-round total of 667, trailing Providence (649), Montana Tech (608), and Rocky (589). The Carroll Women's team managed to move closer to a repeat of their 2021 conference championship, jumping into second place with a team score of 682, trailing only Rocky (667). The Saints Women shot the low team score of the day.

Senior Samuel Berry backed his opening round 77 with a seven over round of 79, good enough for a tie for ninth after two rounds. Rex Irby fired the round of the day for the Saints with a five over par 77, bringing his two-day total to 166, just one shot shy of Josh Neth's 165 total.

On the Women's side, Katie Fagg continued her strong showing with a second round 84, which landed her in the third spot on the individual side of the event. Freshman Ellie Thiel has been playing very consistent golf for the Saints this week, shooting an 83 today to bring her two-day total to 167 and a tie for fourth place. Senior Caroline Hobson shot 92 today to keep 3 Carroll golfers inside the top-ten of the event.

Weather permitting, the Saints will look to continue climbing the leaderboards as  play will conclude tomorrow with a 12:30 p.m. start from Banbury to determine the winners of the 2022 Frontier Conference Golf Championships.
