Women's Cross Country | 11/02/22 | 7:12 PM

Helena, Mont. – The Frontier Conference Cross Country Championships will take place in Helena, Mont. on Friday November 4.

Carroll's men and women will compete against Montana Tech, Montana Western, MSU-Northern, University of Providence, and Rocky Mountain College. The Saints men are currently ranked 25th nationally. Both Tech and Western are also receiving votes and have been competitive with the Saints all season. The Saints women are rated 19th and have had several close races with Rocky who are ranked 22nd.

Carroll will race 12 men and 18 women in the championship event. This will include three seniors on the men's side: Spencer Swaim, Van Gottwals, and Joe O'Sullivan. Four senior women will compete for the Saints: Kyle Olson, Katelyn McKay, Natalie Yocum, and Reghan Worley.

The winners of the Conference Championships will earn an automatic berth to the NAIA National Meet in Florida in late November. Several at large bids will also be awarded to teams ranked highly enough nationally, filling out a 36 team field.

"Our strengths this season have been our consistency and poise, so we'll look to apply that to the championship race," Head Coach Shannon Flynn said. "We know we need to stick together, stay focused on the process, and balance confidence with the knowledge that nothing is guaranteed from this point forward. At the Conference Preview we got a great boost from our supporters and home crowd, so we're hoping to replicate that this week."

The men's 8k will begin at 10:30 am Mountain Time at Bill Roberts Golf Course, and the women's 5k will start at 11:30 am Mountain.
