Sean Joyce started all four years at offensive guard for the Saints football team, from 1991-94. His final two seasons, the 6-2, 258 pounder earned all-conference selections, in addition to being named first team All-American both years. Joyce received numerous Player of the Week awards, and was chosen as team captain his senior year. "Sean spent many hours in the weight room, worked on his conditioning year-round, and always practiced with a focus on improving as a player." Jim Trudnowski said. "He also placed a high priority on being a role model and leader for the Saints, and was chosen by his coaches for motivational talks to the team."
