Carroll College Athletics

Maire Brennan-Montenaro played soccer for Carroll College from 1999-2002. In 2000, she helped the Saints, who were in just their third season of existence, to the school’s first trophy when they placed runner-up at Washington’s Evergreen State Tournament. As a senior, she served as team captain and was named the 2002 team’s most valuable player. Brennan-Montenaro still ranks third on the school’s all-time list with 22 assists. She is 14th in points scored (38) and 22nd in goals (eight). Brennan-Montenaro graduated with a major in biology and minor in chemistry, and went to medical school at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Ore., from 2005-09.
