J.J. Lamb was a running back for the Saints from 1992-95, earning all-conference selections all four years, first team twice and second team twice. He owned at least two school career rushing records, of 4,292 yards and 6.37 yards per carry average. Lamb's 1,284 season rushing yards in 1995, ranks top-five on Carroll's all-time list. As a senior, he led the nation in three categories - 7.81 yards per carry, 147 rushing yards per game, and 11.25 points scored per game. Lamb finished with 41 lifetime touchdowns, which was the third most in Saints history at the time of graduation. He was a two-time NAIA All-American, making honorable mention in 1993, and first team in 1995.
