Catherine (Mason) Converse started all four years for the Lady Saints cagers, from 1993-96, while being awarded three all-Frontier citations. A 5-foot-10 forward, “Cat” Mason established a school career scoring record of 1,492 points.
As a sophomore, she averaged 12.7 points and 4.1 rebounds. In 1995, Mason posted a 14.2 scoring average, making 40.5 percent of her three-point shots.
Her senior year, she tallied 14.9 ppg and was tabbed first team All-Pacific Northwest Region. Her teammates presented her the Cathy Wallace Most Valuable Player Award. Mason’s lifetime free throw accuracy mark of 77.9 percent ranks third on the Lady Saints’ all-time list.
