SEATTLE - Carroll College fell 4-0 to NCAA DII Seattle Pacific in the final regular-season match of the season, a non-conference tilt Saturday afternoon in Seattle.
The Saints were outshot 14-4 in the first half and gave up three goals in the process, the first coming in just the third minute.
Carroll put up a much better effort in the second half outshooting SPU 7-6 but the Saints failed to capitalize and the Falcons added to their lead with a goal in the 83
rd minute.
"Seattle Pacific is a very, very good team," head coach
Dave Thorvilson said. "We came out scared and the got on us early. We need to refocus now and get ready for the conference tournament."
The Saints open the Cascade Conference tournament on Nov. 11, as the No. 1 seed against No. 8 UGF who battled Carroll to a scoreless draw in 40 mile an hour winds at Nelson Stadium earlier this season.
